Fragments of Everyday Rhythms

Fragments of Everyday Rhythms

Cuba

Crowded bus interior with passengers pressed together; a young man leans on the window frame while others stand and sit behind the glass.

Attention begins quietly. Nothing dramatic happens. The world simply stops being background. Small gestures start to feel intentional. Presence appears before meaning. Cuba moves at a different speed. These photographs were made in Havana — on buses, through doorways, along the Malecón. People pressed together in heat and patience. Life without the luxury of privacy.
