What a cookie is
A small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others measure how you use it. The second kind is only set if you say yes.
Cookies on this site
cookieyes-consent. Mine (first party), set by this site's cookie banner (CookieYes). Stores your choice. Lasts 1 year. Necessary, so it needs no consent.
_ga. Google Analytics (third party). Tells visits apart with a random ID. Lasts up to 2 years. Chrome caps it at about 13 months. Needs your consent.
_ga_KWYHD41QY8. Google Analytics (third party). Keeps the state of your visit. Lasts up to 2 years. Chrome caps it at about 13 months. Needs your consent.
No advertising cookies. No cookies from social networks.
Without cookies
Framer, which hosts the site, counts visits without cookies: pages, country, device, browser and source. According to Framer, it uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers.
Google Analytics
Google's script file downloads when the page opens. Google's servers see your IP address and browser then, as any server does when it sends you a file. The script sets no cookie and measures nothing until you accept. If you accept, Google Analytics measures pages visited, approximate location and device, so I can see which pages people read. Google keeps the event data for 14 months. Google may process it in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your choice
The banner shows Accept all, Reject all and Customise on the first screen. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
You can change your mind at any time with the Consent Preferences button in the bottom left corner of the page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Other sites
The site links to Instagram and Gumroad. If you click, they may set their own cookies. Their policies apply.
Changes
If I add a cookie, this page and the banner change first.
